My Goal
I believe that passion is the spark of creativity. My past writing and photography work has always been associated with something I care deeply about, whether that be working with youth or learning about the culture and landscape of a new place.

When I have a personal connection to a project, I find that the time I spend behind my camera or typing away at my computer is imbued with meaning. I want my work to be personal and impactful. I want it to bring a smile to someone's face and perhaps inspire them to try something new.
About Me
I love adventure and exploring new places. This past October, I had the chance to visit the Highlands of Scotland. I saw a quote that said Scotland has two seasons: June and Winter. It's true that the weather can be rather abysmal - especially if you're someone used to 365 days of sunshine like me - but there is something enchanting about seeing those mountains bathed in a mist of rain. The rivers, full of water, rushed over the cliffside. Deer, hoping to avoid the winds at higher elevations, came down from the mountains and could be seen from the windows of my tour van grazing in the brush. On the Isle of Skye, I encountered some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met. I also ate a plate of mussels so big that I don't want to see another shellfish for at least a few months.

In my free time, I love to cook a variety of dishes. I can spend hours in pasta aisles gazing at handmade noodles, belaboring over which one I should try next. I am also an avid fiction writer who is working on her first novel. Sci-fi and fantasy are my favorite genres, but a good book is a good book.
